This is Mediterranean Cava at its most precise and pure. Crafted from organically farmed estate grapes grown just outside Barcelona and fermented with native yeasts, it’s bottled without dosage to highlight its natural freshness. Lively citrus, green apple, and crisp pear glide over a backbone of salty minerality—a direct gift from the winery’s sandy, granitic sauló soils.
After 45 months resting on its lees, the wine gains depth and refinement. The bubbles are fine and persistent, carrying the fruit with graceful energy. A sleek, almost crystalline texture runs through the palate—light yet structured, sharp yet never harsh. Subtle notes of almond and brioche round out the bone-dry finish, leaving an impression as bracing and refreshing as a dip in the Mediterranean. Think oysters, fried anchovies, or simply the clink of glasses at sunset by the sea.
About the Winery
Perched high in the coastal hills overlooking the Mediterranean, Alta Alella is Barcelona’s closest appellation winery and one of Spain’s leading organic producers. Founded by Josep Maria Pujol-Busquets and his wife Cristina Guillén, the family estate has become a benchmark for terroir-driven Cava and still wines. Every vineyard is certified organic, every wine made with minimal intervention, and every bottle a reflection of the sea breezes and granitic soils that define their land. Their Mirgin Cavas are especially beloved for their elegance and authenticity—sparkling wines that capture both place and personality in every sip.
