About the brewery

Ghost Town Brewing began in 2012, when a group of Oakland musicians turned their creative energy from heavy metal to craft beer. What started as a tiny one-barrel “hyper-nano” operation quickly outgrew its humble beginnings, evolving into a full-scale brewery and taproom in West Oakland’s Ghost Town neighborhood. With an industrial space that matches their gothic-metal branding, they’ve built a reputation for hop-forward beers—especially their crisp, expressive West Coast IPAs—while keeping a steady rotation of inventive, drinkable styles on tap.

Over the years, Ghost Town has expanded into a second Oakland location complete with a beer garden and kitchen, further cementing their place as a hub for community and craft culture.
