STAG is a 100% Mosaic pale ale brewed with intention and zero funny business. Crafted with a simple grist of Pilsner malt and Mosaic hops, this beer lets its ingredients speak for themselves. The Pilsner malt provides a crisp, light body with just enough backbone to support the mountain of Mosaic hops layered throughout.

Hopped on the hot side with Mosaic, then double dry-hopped for maximum impact, STAG delivers an explosive burst of dank aromatics—think feijoa, passionfruit blossoms, blueberry, and a touch of that unmistakable "hippie lettuce" character. It’s clean, bold, and unmistakably Mosaic.

About the Brewery

Nestled in the heart of San Luis Obispo, There Does Not Exist is a brewery that wears its paradox proudly. Co-founded by Max Montgomery, formerly of Firestone Walker’s Barrelworks, this cerebral brewery takes its name from a Zen kōan—and that spirit of curiosity, duality, and contradiction infuses everything they do.

From the outside, it might seem like another art-forward taproom tucked into an industrial district. But step inside and it’s clear: this is a space for both thinkers and drinkers. Their beers straddle the line between West Coast crispness and Belgian funk, between modern haze and traditional technique. You might find a perfectly attenuated German-style pilsner next to a cloudy IPA bursting with expressive, yeast-driven esters.
